If the hoof horn is deprived of correct nutrients irregularities, such as cracks or brittle crumbling hooves, can occur. The most critical vitamin in the process of hoof growth and regeneration is Biotin, a member of the B vitamin family. It is a water soluble vitamin, and while plentiful in good grass/legume mixtures, it is otherwise poorly available from food sources, and regular supplementation is recommended.
Hoof Conditioner keeps your horses hooves supple. For best effect use daily.
The maintenance of moisture content in the hoof horn is extremely important. Elasticity and the ability to absorb compression are essential factors in the dissipation of the concussive forces of locomotion. Regular application of TRM’s Hoof Conditioner will help to prevent cracking and hoof dryness, while leaving a perfect shine for the show-ring.

Brewers Yeast is a supplement for horses, dogs and other animals. It can be mixed into the animal's food, and although it has a distinctive taste if introduced gradually over a period of a few days there should not be any problems with palatability. Brewers Yeast contains a number of beneficial vitamins that are known to help maintain healthy skin, nervous and digestive systems. It contains B vitamins including B6 known for its ability to support hair and skin regrowth, Vitamin B1 (Thiamin), Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) and Vitamin B3 (Niacin). Brewers Yeast also contains inositol vital for hair growth and to support production of cell membranes. As well as selling Brewers yeast as a " straight" it is also used in our Bye Bye Itchsupplement for seasonal itching in horses, ponies and donkeys, and in our Mud Defendersupplement to help support a natural resistance to mud-dwelling bacteria.
Brewers Yeast for animals is a good supplement for general animal health. Alternatively try our bye bye itch supplement.
Guidelines:
Horses: 12 to 25 grams daily
Dogs: quarter to one level teaspoon daily, slightly more for larger breeds or as suggested by your vet
Add to feed on a daily basis, if possible splitting the required amount between two feeds
Allow up to one month for benefits to be seen
*please note: we do not include feeding instructions on the packaging or include a scoop in the bag or tub. This is due to the consistency of straight herbs eg roots are more dense than leaves or flowers, and they can be given to a variety of species. For further research on using straight herbs for animals there are some good books available including Hilary Self's "A Modern Horse Herbal".
